Khelein Hum Jee Jaan se reserves a place in Oscars library
The movie which was set in the backdrop of the British Raj tells the story of a school teacher, who initiated an uprising against the British which was planned and executed across some of the prominent locations in Bengal.
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN and Deepika Padukone starrer period film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey despite being a dud at the box office, got a respite from the Academy of Motion Pictures & Science as a request was sent to the makers of the movie to include it in the former library collection. The screenplay of the film was adapted from the book Do and Die by Manini Chatterjee. The inclusion of any movie does not depend upon the box office collections, but is included on the basis of artistic merit, original screenplay as a substance and the film as a whole. Apparently, the Academy asked the makers of the film for the screenplay of the film as a substance and the film as a whole. The library archives which are predominantly meant for writers, actors, film makers and students worldwide for their respective research works.
Some other Indian movies which have been included in the Academy library include Raajneeti, Rock On! and Action Replayy.
