While Katy Perry too garnered a lot of eyeballs due to her split from Russell Brand, yet she was named Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Tour Headliner, Favorite Song of the Year (for “E.T.”) and Favorite TV Guest Star for her cameo on “How I Met Your Mother”. Harry Potter, the last part of the movie also got people’s attention as it was named Favorite Movie, Action Movie, Ensemble Movie Cast and Book Adaptation. However, much to the surprise of everyone, the much beloved Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, Tom Felton and Rupert Grint lost being nominated as the Favourite actor under 25 to ‘Hugo’s’ star Chloe Grace Moretz.
Out of the 41 People’s Choice Award, Robert’s Pattinson’s “Water for Elephant” got the favourite drama, winning against critically acclaimed films such as “Moneyball” and “The Help.” Jonny Depp’s Jack Sparrow charm worked again as he was voted Favorite Movie Actor and Animated Movie Voice and Emma Stone got the much deserving Favorite Movie Actress and Comic Movie Actress. ‘Supernaturals,’ the dark drama also managed to win the Favorite Network TV Drama and Sci-Fi Fantasy Show.
The People’s Choice Award, the American award show where the general public decide the winners and the losers by voting shows the way Americans think. For actors, this award is extremely important as it is after all the audience who decide their fate.
