It was Subhash Chandra, the chairman of Zee TV Network who conceptualised this concept and an executive named Himanshu Modi was given the responsibility to execute that under the brand of "Indian Cricket League". Legendary all rounder Kapi Dev was appointed the chairman and several other prominent Cricketers were given various cricket-related responsibilities.
This venture took the cricketing world by storm as several International past and present Cricketers signed the agreement to play in the league.
