MJ (known to fans by his initials) died from an overdose of sedatives at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009. On the second death anniversary of Michael Jackson, his fans will hold a candlelight vigil at his childhood home in Gary, Indiana, an industrial suburb of Chicago.

Jermaine Jackson, brother of late pop star Michael Jackson, performed a nostalgic tribute concert in a MJ-inspired outfit, complete with a red military-style jacket, V-neck white shirt, fitted black slacks and a black cummerbund with an emblazoned number "5," at the 12th Indian International Film Awards festivities in Toronto on Friday to mark the second death anniversary of the pop star. He performed on MJ's hits including "Scream," "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" and "Can You Feel It".
