KKR in a must-win scenario against star-studded MI
If there are any hopes for the Kolkata Knight Riders to qualify post the group stages, they have to win all their remaining fixtures in IPL 2013, which includes their game tonight against the star-studded and in form team Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The team led by Rohit Sharma has 14 points, and is one of the strong contenders for the IPL title, which they have never won. After a splendid performance defeating the Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai must be eager to climb up the points table.

The Mumbai Indians to a large extent depend on their batsmen, but their bowlers stood up when their batsmen failed and help their team win against CSK. They put up only 79 runs on the board, CSK's lowest in the IPL so far. The even put an end to CSK's seven match-winning streak.

With MI high on confidence, it is KKR who are not going to find it easy with MI batsmen eager to make up for their last unimpressive performance against CSK. MI has one of the best batting line up in the IPL, which includes Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, Dwayne Smith and Kieron Pollard. These batsmen names are enough to instill fear amongst any bowling attack in the world. Brett Lee and Sunil Narine will hold the key for KKR when the Mumbai Indian batsmen are on the crease. The KKR also must be a confident side after a cruising victory against the Rajasthan Royals in their last encounter.

KKR, the defending champions of last season, are in fact a strong side, but has failed to come up with good results owing to their inconsistent performances. They, too, have stars such as Gautam Gambhir, Eoin Morgan, Jacques Kallis, Balaji, Pathan, but only few have stood out in the IPL 2013 challenge and hence their low standings. One of the brightest spots of late for KKR has been Yusuf Pathan's return to form, where he clobbered huge sixes against the Royals. If Pathan fires once again, it is KKR who will benefit. But Pathan alone will not be able to take on the strong bowling attack of Mumbai Indians, which includes Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Johnson who have been bowling consistently.

When two such mega cities take on one another, there is always a great air of anticipation among neutral fans that the quality of game on the field is going to top notch. With the number of big stars in the match tonight, it would be a disappointment if the match does not entertain the crowd present at the venue.
