Knowing practical and spiritual intelligence of discernment: A non-poem
In psycho-social arena, discernment or wisdom is regarded as a mental ability to think and act ethically and insightfully for common good. It is an acquired value-based mental ability which is associated with the traits of practical intelligence such as prudence, justice and fairness.

These days, wisdom is also being seen a part of spiritual intelligence associated with human potential of distinguishing between good and evil as well as acquiring the qualities of empathy, compassion, self-knowledge, non-attachment, rising beyond vagaries of mind and acquiring benevolence. In other words, wisdom is basic trait of sages.

Here is a non-poem on discernment

Discernment - / An ethical appraisal / Through inspired study / Of pros-n-cons /Of thoughts and deeds.

Weigh your acts / As right or wrong / By knowing their worth. / Do a thing  / For larger good. / Be fair-n-just  / Have a right choice

Strive for astuteness - / A higher order mind - / A knack honed / With pure intent / To take decisions / For common good

Do ethical acts / For worthiness. / Live with wisdom - / With prudence-n-sensibility.
