Kohinoor brings 'No Trans Fat & Low Cholestrol Food'
Kohinoor Foods have so far identified 6 different categories which could help the brand bring Indian Specialties in different forms to people all over world
KOHINOOR, THE most trusted and preferred brand of Basmati Rice, now introduces no trans fat & low cholesterol oriental sauces, ready-to-eat curries, cooking paste to spice, seasoning and frozen food and Kohinoor Platinum Gold Silver range at Aahar, the international food fair, 2010. “Along with the Indian market, authentic Indian food is gaining a lot of importance in many international markets. In times to come, Kohinoor Foods plans to bring different authentic Indian specialties to people all over the world”, stated Gurnam Arora, Joint Managing Director of Kohinoor Foods while addressing the media at Aahar, the international food fair, 2010.
In this context, Kohinoor Foods have so far identified 6 different categories which could help the brand bring Indian Specialties in different forms to people all over world – The Indian Basmati Rice in which the brand has been operating for last so many years. The other identified categories are Ready-to-Eat Curries, Spices, Frozen Foods, Cook-in Sauces and Cooking Pastes. All together, this portfolio of different categories of products allows the brand to come out with a huge range of dishes.
At its state of the art food plant at Bahalgarh, today, Kohinoor prepares dishes like Amritsari Cholle, Peshawari Dal Makhani, Kadhi Pakoda, Kashmiri Rajma, Sarson ka Saag, Peas Paratha,
Lachcha Paratha, amritsari Kulcha, Gobhi Paratha, Paneer Tikka, Shammi Kabab, Seekh Kabab, Punjabi Samosa, Aloo Bonda, Vegetable Cutlets and many more in the list. And at its Rice plant at Murthal, Kohinoor produces brands that not only have the Authentic Basmati Rice, but also the Brown Basmati Rice, Organic Basmati Rice, Extra Long Basmati Rice and many more.
Elaborating on the plan, Arora said, “We have set up Asia’s finest food factory which is capable of producing over 1, 20,000 meals per day and state-of-the-art rice factory which processes around 8,68,500 basmati grains every second”
