Kolkata to host an awareness event on transgenders tomorrow
In the wake of Supreme Court's ruling on transgenders, in which it categorised them as a third gender, a Kolkata based super-specialty mental health facility, the AddLife Caring Minds, has taken it as a responsibility to spread awareness among the people about the Transgender community and the issues faced by them.
AddLife, the organization dedicated towards
Psychological health and wellness, is conducting a CSR event on 24th
April, 2014 for creating the awareness.

associated with transgenders in the society. This 'Open to All'
session will explore the interconnected yet distinct nature of the
three of the major components of self-identity - Sex, Sexuality and
Gender, understand the issues faced by the Transgender community and
also seek to get better understanding of the recent Supreme Court
judgement that recognizes the Third gender.
