Krishna's great expectations from Pak regarding Saeed
SM Krishna, the Minister of state for External Affairs declared that India has great expectations from Pakistan to act swiftly and surely against Hafiz Saeed, the chief of JUD, and the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS Minister SM Krishna, before his meet with Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi today (September 22), declared that India has great expectations from Pakistan to act swifltly and surely against Hafiz Saeed, the chief of  JUD, and the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

"India would be interested to see how Pakistan proceeds with reference to the Mumbai terror attacks. He (Saeed) was the brain behind that attack on India. So I think we expect Pakistan to act swiftly," Krishna told a news channel.

There have been speculations whether Saeed will in anyway be effected by the house arrest he has been put under and whether like last time, he will get freed from the same.

Responding to this query, he stated, "I think there are conflicting reports. I am waiting for a fuller report of the actual position."

He also mentioned that India has never wavered from it's position that those responsible for the Mumbai attack should be harshly punished severely.

"They will have to be dealt with and then brought to justice. I think simply that is the position India has taken and I reiterate that position. When the security of India is concerned we cannot certainly be giving any concessions to anybody," he said.
