Kulbhushan Jadhav's family to meet him in Pakistan today
Family members of Kulbhushan Jadhav will be meeting him today. Jadhav, a former Indian Navy officer had been arrested on alleged charges of spying but India has consistently maintained that he is a former Indian naval officer.

Jadhav's family members travelled to Pakistan's Islamabad and will be returning to Delhi on the same day after meeting him. As per reports, an Indian official will also be present at the meeting.

Whereas as Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan will be accompanying Jadhav's family members for the meeting, it is not clear whether he will be a part of the meeting or not. The family members that will be visiting Jadhav include his wife and his mother.

Heavy security has been deployed around the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the meeting is scheduled to take place and roads leading to the office have been closed down for vehicular traffic.

Though Pakistan had denied consular access to Jadhav, it has allowed India's Deputy High Commissioner to accompany Jadhav's family when it visits him. However India has denied that the same can be considered as consular access as he was merely accompanying them and will not be a part of the meeting.

Pakistan has been claiming that Jadhav was arrested by security forces from Balochistan province after he had entered the country from Iran. But India has been claiming that he was kidnapped in Iran, which he had visited on account of his personal business.

Pakistan has already ordered execution of Jadhav but India had filed an appeal in the case in the International Court of Justice, which ordered a stay on his execution. The case is sub-judice in the court as of now.
