Kumar Vishwas sacked as AAP's Rajasthan in-charge
In what could spell new trouble for the party that was formed to ring in a new political culture, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today removed Kumar Vishwas as the party's Rajasthan in-charge.

Reports have suggested that national treasurer of the party Deepak Bajpai has been picked as the replacement for Kumar. Kumar, who is at loggerheads with AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, was recently in the news after his name did not feature in the list of Rajya Sabha probables although many considered him to be one of the frontrunners in the party.

The move comes at a strategic time when Rajasthan is scheduled to go for polls later this year and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is planning to make it the third state where it will make inroads after Delhi and Punjab.

Vishwas's differences with the party had widened when he had not towed the party's line that AAP was losing elections because of tampering in the EVMs. He had threatened to quit the party when another AAP leader Amamnatullah Khan had accused him of plotting a coup within the party. Khan was sacked from all posts within the party and Vishwas was made the Rajasthan in-charge in a conciliatory move.

But the tables seem to have turned once again with Khan's suspension revoked and Vishwas now sacked though he continues to be the part of the PAC of the party, but for how long will he stay that remains to be seen.
