Ipl 2017
KXIP need to find their best line-up before doomsday in this season as well
After having what can be called a perfect start to their tenth edition of the IPL with two back-to-back victories at their second home ground of Indore, team Kings XI Punjab's form seems to have hit a rough patch with the team losing their next two matches on the trot.

Agreed to the fact that they have played against some very good oppositions, both Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils being very strong teams at home. But the way team Punjab has been comprehensively defeated will be of some concern to Virender Sehwag and their skipper Glenn Maxwell. It will undoubtedly also bring forth the not-so-fond memories of the previous two IPL campaigns where the Kings were languishing at the bottom of the points table.

At the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Kings XI Punjab was unable to scalp a single wicket in the powerplay, despite Sandeep Sharma being miserly. As ill luck would have it for Maxwell and Sandeep, there was no support from the other seamers throughout the innings. Even pacer Varun Aaron consistently lost his line and length skidding down the legside.

Aaron for long has been considered as a cricketer of great potential and as someone who could form a great fast bowling partnership with Umesh Yadav for team India. However, poor form and injuries have seen Aaron lose his way recently and he has also looked short of gallop in his starting two matches for Kings XI Punjab this season.

In a dreadful night at the Feroz Shah Kotla for Kings XI, the Punjab side were totally dismal in all three departments of the game, which kicked off a below par bowling effort that allowed Delhi to score 20-30 more than what team Punjab would have wanted.

The death overs execution has also been a constant worry for Kings XI so far in this tournament, although it was during the middle overs where they let the Delhi players to pick up boundaries too easily which set the batsman up for swinging freely at the death.

If team Punjab can't quickly find their best line-up and provide some bowling support for their spinners in particular Axar Patel, this could very promisingly end up being yet another very long and painful season for them as well as their first-time captain Maxwell.
