AFTER AKSHAY Kumar’s tryst with rap singer Snoop Dogg in blockbuster ’Singh is King’, Australian singer Kylie Minogue will be seen crooning to the beats of top Indian musician AR Rahman. Minogue has agreed to lend her voice for a song in an upcoming movie, titled Blue.

The Aussie pop star will be paid a whopping amount of rupees five crore for rendering the song for Rahman, which will be recorded next month as she is expected to come to India with with her troupe.

Kylie Minogue commenced her career as a recording artist in 1987 and rose to prominence throughout the world. She has sold more than 60 million records since then and her numbers have topped popularity charts in America, Europe and Australia.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, but she recuperated and started to perform again after 2006.

’Blue’ is one of the most expensive movies to be ever made in India with the production budget already surpassing Rs 100 crores, trade sources said. It is being directed by debutant Anthony D’ Souza, who plans to add a disco number sung by Minogue to add to the film’s attraction.

Prior to Minogue, Rahman is said to have approached pop icon Maddona and R&B star Rihanna for rendering this song, but both opted out citing different reasons.

The star cast of the film includes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. The international pop sensation recently won a fifth Grammy nomination for her soulful and peppy numbers.

The film is a thriller and is about three friends, who set upon a search to find a lost treasure in the Bahamas. The treasure is guarded by 40 real and untrained sharks in the deep waters. The movie, an advenutre-thriller, is inspired by yesteryears hit Jaws.
