La Liga: Real Madrid decimate opponents Sevilla to cash in on title; Barcelona and Madrid setup final showdown
The Portuguese football sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo, achieved a magical figure in his football career.

He scored goal number 400 for Zinedine Zidane's side which is closing in on its first La Liga title since 2012. The victory turned out rather easy for Madrid who thrashed their opponents Sevilla 4-1 to take a step forward in winning the La Liga.

On the other hand, Neymar hit a hat-trick for Barcelona against Las Palmas who were also thrashed by a score line of 4-1. This sets up a stringent fight and only time will tell who ends up being the winner.

Madrid will be visiting Celta in their game in hand on Wednesday and then travelling to Malaga,  and Barca will be hosting Eibar on the final day next Sunday.

Madrid's coach, Zidane was delighted with his team's performance and was hopeful that his team will be the winner of La Liga. He said to the reporters,"This team has a lot of resources and what I like the most is the character we always show."

He further said,"It is a long road. We know to win the league in Spain is not easy."  This statement clearly shows the cut throat competition that the teams will be facing in the days to come.

Ronaldo had scored his magical goal number 400 in the 23rd minute of the game from a close range. The shot was virtually impossible to stop and then added number 401, in the 78th minute with a curling shot into the top corner. Another very difficult one for the goalkeeper. The second goal scored by Ronaldo gave his team a two-goal advantage after Stevan Jovetic had pulled one back for Sevilla early in the second half.
