Lady Gaga won the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards in four categories including Biggest Fans, Best Female, Best Song 'Born This Way' and Best Video for "Born This Way". The 17-year-old star Justin Bieber won two awards for Best Male and Best Pop.

Later in the award function a naked man stormed the stage. MTV Networks International announced the nominees of the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards on September 19, 2011. Lady Gaga leads with six nominations, while Bruno Mars and Katy Perry were nominated in four categories each.
