Landmark decisions by PM Modi that touched the lives of people
It will be three months for Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India on 26th August. Undoubtedly, Modi and his Independence Day speech have stolen the limelight in the first quarter of his government.

I would highlight three landmark decisions taken by Narendra Modi in these three months which are going to impact the lives of many people. The simplest of the good acts done by him is doing away with the need for gazetted officer's signature for getting attested any document.

Is the Modi Govt's "Acche Din" promise coming true?

It has given dignity to a common man who was otherwise left at the mercy of government officers for a small thing such as getting things attested. This is in fact like a first door to corruption being shattered. A welcome step indeed!

His announcement of constructing toilets for women is also a landmark decision and with big business conglomerates pouring funds for this is indeed a welcome act. PM Modi has risen from one of us. He has lower middle class roots so he knows the problems of common people.

While in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, his learning ground has been vast and diversified. He would have experienced the difficulties faced by ordinary people. He is also quite unlike many grassroot RSS people I have met in life, who have become RSS members either with no objective at all or just for the fact that they are Hindu.

Modi is a nationalist. His decisions while being Chief Minister and now Prime Minister have been in national interest. It is not surprising that why people of India have loved him more than the BJP. The reason is that he has done his homework and he has groomed himself with a vision to do something good for India.

Top on the Modi's agenda is to take India among the top nations in the world. India is also likely to see a true definition of secularism during his tenure. India has pluralist society so it is duty of all the religions to live in harmony and peacefully.

He is the man who is against appeasing people from minority communities and does not believe in treating them as vote banks, unlike other parties. The definition of pseudo secularism as being practiced by Congress has been exposed badly, that is, being pro-Muslims and becoming anti-Hindu is secular. The spread of pseudo secularism has fomented communalism in the nation and has weakened the pluralistic structure of the society.

Narendra Modi knows that India is land of spirituality and it is India's exclusive wealth. It is the wealth of a Hindu way of life. No one has ever taken a concrete decision to clean up the dirt that falls into river Ganga. Geographically speaking, she is a life line to number of people who are settled along her banks and who are not only Hindus but from other religions too.

She is sacred and she needs to be respected. But what all has been happening hitherto is the financial corruption in the name of Ganga Action Plan. Other religions should not take it as an anti step against them.

In fact cleaning up Ganga is an opportunity for other religions to join Modi and send a message to world that all the religions exist in harmony here. I am sure that soon the same process will be followed for other rivers too, as our culture and civilization exist because of them.

Narendra Modi is a hope that people are seeing him as, for everything whether its development or getting the nation free from corruption and scams.
