Words can’t capture the trauma, agony, tumultuous time acid attack victim, Sonali Mukherjee has encountered and has been constantly encountering since 2003 when youths poured acid on her face in Dhanbad
in Jharkhand. In this very year this beautiful girl fraught with dreams, vision, vibrancy was attacked by three derange youths with barbaric psyche. Why? Her only fault - she refused their advances.

She is an epitome of grit, determination and courage. She wants to win the challenging, thorny battle of life. Her attackers were let off after hardly four months behind the bar. Shame on such a judicial system.
Sonali participated in KBC as she was selected for special programme called ‘Doosra Mauka’. Overcoming her trauma, she went on to win Rs 25 lakh, the much needed amount for surgery. Hats off to legendary Amitabh Bachchan
for offering a chance to Sonali.
Kudos to Lara! We are proud of you; you are one of the real celebrities, way ahead of many heroes and heroines, who are good on silver screen, often resort to lip service but in real life, they hardly bother to make the difference…Who cares?
