Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta tied the knot on February 16, 2011 in a civil ceremony in Mumbai and later followed it by a Christian ceremony on 20 February 2011 in Goa with Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupati. Last year, the actress had confirmed about her pregnancy on her official id of the micro blogging site, Twitter.

Film maker Ken Ghosh was among the first to congratulate Mahesh Bhupati and Lara Dutta. He tweeted - "Congrats Mahesh and Lara! Its a girl!" Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu also wished the proud parent on twitter. She tweeted - "Congratulations to Lara n Mahesh fr hving a baby girl!Wow!"

Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh tweeted - "Congratulations to my dear @Maheshbhupathi and darling Lara on the arrival of the princess !! GOD BLESS U ALL :)", whereas actor and social activist Rahul Bose tweeted - "Huge congratrulations to lara dutta and @maheshbhupathi, the proud parents of a baby girl! To top that, mahesh won his match today! #usopen".
