INDIAN VETERAN actor cum director, Aamir Khan, is on seventh heaven these days. He is currently making news each day and has become flavour of the year after the immense success of his last movie. We all have seen his new hair-less style making news.

Now, we have another happening news for Khan’s fans to relish and celebrate ahead. Indian nightingale Lata Mangeshkar will bestow ‘Dinanath Mangeshkar Award’ to Khan on April 24 in a programme in Mumbai on the 66th death anniversary of Master Dinanath Mangeshkar. The award comprises Rs 50,000 and a memento.

Melody queen seems impressed by Khan’s immense uniqueness in making of his films and his contribution to Indian cinema. Khan’s fans will be glad to know that both these high profile celebrities share a good relation in real life too. Khan’s last directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par, received critical acclaim as well as box office success.

Everybody already knows the veteran actor’s ignorance of Bollywood’s cine-awards. He has not submitted Taare’s entry into International Indian Film academy (IIFA) and hence, the film is absent in the nominations erratically. Meanwhile, such recognition by Indian gem, Lata, is not less than any popular award to Khan. In fact, Khan gave his nod immediately for this special honour.

Other noted people to be honoured include Dr Shriram Lagoo (marathi actor), Malini Rajurkar (classical music), and Mohan Tondwalkar (theatre), to name a few. We hope that Khan gets more such laurels for his immense intellectual efforts.
