Latest ICC ODI rankings: Despite World Cup defeat 3 Indians still among top 10 batsmen
Well, despite a shocking ouster from the World Cup in the semi finals, three Indian cricketers have been able to sustain their spot in the list of the top 10 batsmen of the latest ICC ODI ranking.
In fact, had India qualified for the finals, many more records in terms of the batting and bowling would have been broken by the Indian cricketers. Particularly, Virat Kohli was expected to add few new glories to his name, whereas Shami Ahmed has also missed a golden chance to establish himself as a lead bowler.

Another star attraction for the Indian fans happens to be Rohit Sharma who could not sustain his rhythm and ended with just a reasonable performance in this world Cup. Also, Ravindra Jadeja and Raina failed to display any outstanding performance whereas Rahane fell at almost every crucial juncture.

Nevertheless, lack of a bit of self esteem and determination proved vital. We must learn to cope up the pressure during the big games as there is no dearth of talent in Team India. Although consistency was a missing element in the performance of our bowlers - especially the likes of R Ashwin - but overall, the hard work done by our assistant coach Sanjay Bangar was clearly noticed by one and all.

As of now, the future of the Indian cricket lies with the talent and flow of Virat Kohli. With MSD likely to say goodbye in near future, Kohli will be the man leading Team India but here the oldies like Rohit Sharma, Raina, Rahane will have to contribute regularly, followed by a tremendous consistency by our bowlers.

Till then, leaving behind all the expectation of Team India emerging as a global leader in the World cricket, all the fans will have no option but to support entertaining, spicy and interesting event called the IPL.
