The former External Affairs Minister of State, Shashi Tharoor is back into news again with his lady love Sunanda Pushkar.

THE IPL controversy which resulted to a tiff between politician Shashi Tharoor and IPL commissioner Lalit Modi is still a hot news, circling in rumour mills and showing no sign to die away. The former External Affairs Minister of State, Shashi Tharoor is once again back into news again with his lady love Sunanda Pushkar.

The latest buzz is that both are getting engaged at Sanjay Khan's luxury hotel Golden Palms Resort and Spa in Bangalore on June 27, 2010. Tharoor’s romantic interest Sunanda Pushkar works as a director (sales) at Tecom, a Dubai-based real estate company. Recently, Pushkar was in the midst of raging controversy over the IPL Kochi franchise. According to Lalit Modi, she was gifted a stake worth Rs 70 crore in Rendezvous Sports World, one of the owners of the Kochi franchise.

According to the sources, Tharoor and Sunanda have been making engagement plans. They have also been discussing the engagement plans with close friends in Mumbai as well as in Dubai in order to start preparing for the D-day.

Tharoor and Sunanda are thrilled about their engagement but Tharoor has not tweeted this news on social micro blogging site twitter, where innumerable people follow him. Both are expected to get married after Tharoor gets a formal divorce from his second wife Christa Giles, a Canadian citizen who used to be a co-worker of Shashi Tharoor.

Actor and film maker Sanjay Khan along with his wife Zarine have invited Shashi and Sunanda to stay at their Golden Palms in Bangalore during an informal meeting. The duo with their friends were reported to have spent a weekend at the resort in the first week of April i.e a week before Tharoor's resignation. The two liked the resort and loved their stay at Golden Palm. So, it was after their stay at the resort, both decided to get engagement at the resort.

The ceremony is likely take place sometime in June followed by the marriage which will take place in the next six months. The invitations are yet to be announced. While Sanjay Khan refused to give any comment on the reports of bookings being made at his hotel for the event keping it confidential. So far Shashi Tharoor is unavailable for any comment. But we wish Shashi and Sunanda a very happy engagement in advance.
