Lawyer files petition seeking justice for Sita, wife of lord Rama; court rejects
In a rare petition against lord Rama and Lakshman, the questions have been asked to the petitioner, himself. The judge of a Bihar court on Monday asked the petitioner, a Sitamarhi-based lawyer, Chandan Thakur that who should be punished in this ancient case.

The petition has been filed for abandoning Sita, a daughter of Mithila, Bihar in the forest by her husband, lord Rama and brother-in-law, Lakshman for supporting him in the do. The supplicant said, "The Devi was exiled (given vanvasa) for no fault of hers. It was a hypocritical order from king Rama. How can a man become so cruel to his wife that he sends her off to live in a forest?"

Lawyer Chandan has also claimed that the injustice is happening against women since Treta Yug and affirmed that the justice to Devi Sita will strengthen the women of this time as well.

The Bihar court queried whether there is any witness he has or not and what was the exact date of the incident. For this, Chandan said that he was seeking justice for Sita and begging for the same from the court. Earlier, court admitted the case for hearing and Thakur started getting threatening calls from UP, Mumbai and other parts of the country.

He has been asked to withdraw the case and apologize to the public. However, it has been later informed that the court has now rejected the case on Monday. This does not dishearten the petitioner but he has reportedly decided to continue fighting for Sita's rights.

Thakur also added that he did not file the case to hurt anybody's religious sentiments but purely wants justice for Sita. But he is being sidelined by his colleagues and also getting threats of cancellation of lawyer's license. They even find him insane for his act
