Laxam Vihar will get relief from water logging
In a recent development, councillor Mangat Ram Bagadi laid foundation for sewage work in his ward. After struggling for long to cope with water logging problem in monsoon, people of ward number 10 feel hopeful and happy after the development.

Last Wednesday local councillor Bagadi inaugurated the construction work of laying down new sewer line in Laxman Vihar Phase 1. This line, as per him, is much better and bigger than previous one, which was insufficient for the current population.

Because of low capacity sewer line and pipes, people were facing water-logging since the last many monsoons, and this created many diseases in our area. These old lines were not sufficient and thus in monsoon almost 3-4 feet of water got logged in the area, and to improve the situation we proposed the project and thus the corporation passed the budget of Rs. 57.67 lakh for laying new and better sewage system," Bagadi told this citizen journalist .

But it was not at all easy to get this work done by MCG as Bagadi and his fellow citizens took pains in running everyday behind corporation officials to get permission and budget passed from them. "We were trying our best since the last many months and trying to convince MCG, and at last our efforts turned into fruitful results," he added.

He also informed that during the time of his election as a ward councillor he promised the local people of Laxman Vihar to lay down new sewage lines, but all this while had been trying to fulfil his promise.

He also promised that the development work will continue in ward 10, and he will resolve all issues related to water, road, and power in his ward. Last month, as per reports, Bagadi had made efforts to build good roads in his ward.

On the occasion, Bagadi thanked all people who supported him in making his task a success and appreciated the present contractor Sunderlal, Engineer Rajesh Bansal, Amit Sandila and Sujaan Singh.

Talking to this citizen journalist Executive Engineer Rajesh Bansal said that work will be completed in 6 months but there are many problems they are facing in many unauthorized areas. "We are just replacing small defective pipes in unauthorized areas, and in ward number 10 we have started inspecting defects and will replace them completely if required."
