League of Innovators
The League of Innovators is helping young entrepreneurs to get a strong start in the future of business.

League of Innovators sounds like it might be the latest Marvel film but it is in fact much more impactful. LOI (League of Innovators) is a youth entrepreneurship non-profit that was developed by the for profit division of Hootsuite (Social Media Management platform). Though it was first launched in Canada, it has since spread to North America and is taking root in young proactive thinkers. If children really are the future, then LOI is a well-placed investment into trends that will benefit all of society. From inception to launch, LOI gives participants the guidance, tutelage, and direction to truly manifest their ideas. LOI has been a catalyst for entrepreneurial growth with success stories like Smart Sweets Founder Tara Bosch who completed the program and now sees her company nearing one hundred million in sales at the age of only twenty-three.

Appealing to the youth market means understanding their reception and attraction to a message. DJ Lampitt (known for his work with such diverse brands as Guinness and Thrive Forward) was the Creative Director and Producer for all of the branding of LOI's Canadian launch. He and his team scripted and designed a full online education portal as well as each and every module. Video content was designed specifically to engage young viewers with a high frequency of shares, similar to the online success that Teen Vogue had with this generation. The digital space is the leader in the youth demographic; DJ's insight in this regard played a huge part in the success of LOI's "word of mouth." He explains, "How it speaks to our demographic is with the choice of music, color, animation, and visuals that resonate with the youth considering a career in entrepreneurship. We also used successful youth entrepreneurs to showcase and explain what the journey has been for them; so someone who is considering this option can resonate and relate to those who have walked the journey before them. We made it both accessible and to the point, providing an opportunity to see if entrepreneurship is truly for them."

There is no disputing the fact that the template which states that a university education guarantees success or even employment no longer exists. Ingenuity and an understanding of the shifting needs and desires of consumers supersede formal training in an increasing number of vocations. LOI offers those with discipline and innovative ideas the chance to create a network and refine the skills they need to achieve goals that exist in today's market. Online education increases in its prominence each year. E-learning is projected to surpass two hundred forty-three billion dollars by 2022. LOI gives enlightenment to those whose interest and abilities, rather than their age, are encouraging them to present new ideas. Lampitt communicates, "It's incredibly rewarding to see the youth who joined, took the program, or even just attended our launch event, really feeling like there are options for them. The path to being an entrepreneur can be hard and finding someone whom you connect with as well as a program that listens to you versus telling you what to do; it can make all the difference in moving forward. Being an entrepreneur myself was a key motivator as to why I was a great fit for this creative direction project as well as why I wanted to be involved with assisting the next generation."
