Legendary actor Rajesh Khanna cremated: Fond memories will haunt us
Legendary actor Rajesh Khanna, who breathed his last on Wednesday afternoon, was cremated on Thursday, July 19. He has left behind fond memories of his stellar contribution to Hindi cinema.
ON THURSDAY, Rajesh Khanna's grandson Aarav, 6, lit the pyre of grandfather ajesh Khanna at the Vile Parle crematorium assisted by actor Akshay Kumar.
His body was taken to the Pawan Hans crematorium in an open truck strewn with white flowers and carrying a huge black and white photographs of the actor. His body was placed in a glass coffin accompanied by son-in-law and actor Akshay Kumar, ex-wife Dimple Kapadia and his younger daughter Rinkie Khanna.
Media, admirers, other Bollywood personalities and fans made a beeline with roads cordoned off with policemen all over. The superstar, fondly known as 'Kaka' to film industry, received a well-attended cremation.
