Besides to defuse the CD issue, Hooda has sent the case to Lokayaukta for probe adding that he is discussing with legal experts for action against Chautlas for misusing trust's funds.
Million dollar question being asked in political, journalistic as well as administrative circles is that why Hooda is not sending both the issues i.e. of C.D and misuse of Trust's funds to C.B.I. for enquiry, so that the people of the state can know who is guilty.
While stating that he had no faith in enquiry by Lokaayuta, Abhay Chautala perhaps is not questioning the integrity of Lokayukat Justice Pritampal. But certainly he has a point that with poor infrastructure, Lokayukta enquiry may not reach to any logical conclusion.
Moreover even if enquiry founds allegations established, its report is not binding on Govt. Why Govt. will take risk of annoying about a dozen legislators. Whereas CBI will register criminal cases against offenders once the allegations are established.
Independent observers point out that allegations in CDs and misuse of trust's funds both are serious, hence C.B.I. probe is must to know the truth. Justifying Lokaayukta probe Hooda has said that it is a constitutional body. But he forgot that it is toothless and even he is not ready to empower it.
