Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Deborah L. Kranze did not charge the actress or the two assistants she came with in the house. Looking at the case, Kranze said that they did not have enough evidence to charge Lohan. The owner filed a complaint of theft after the all night party when he realized that a number of items were missing.
The items reported missing were jewellery, watches and sunglasses that came to around $100,000. However, the District Attorney said that as per the evidence the total worth of stolen items was $6,400 and it did not include any jewellery. Sunglasses, an iPod and keys to cars and a house were the actual missing items.
Lohan's spokesperson, according to this RTT News video, said after the verdict, “Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects. It is unfortunate that many media outlets were quick to point fingers and jump to conclusions without having all the facts.” The actor is currently shooting for an Elizabeth Taylor movie and is playing the iconic character.
