Lindsay Lohan sent to jail, 3 months prison term begins
Lindsay Lohan arrived in the morning. at Beverly Hills Superior Court on Tuesday morning to be taken into custody to begin her 90-day jail term.
LINDSAY LOHAN arrived in the morning. at Beverly Hills Superior Court on Tuesday morning to be taken into custody to begin her  90-day jail term for violating her probation in a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession case. This time her former attorney, Shawn Chapman represented her replacing former attorney Robert Shapiro, who quit the case late Monday.

The actress appeared solemn as Holley and Judge Marsha Revel discussed the case. The actress almost broke down many times during the hearing. Mom Dina, sister Ali and estranged father Michael were all in court with her. Lohan had been staying at the Pickford Lofts sober living facility which was owned by Shapiro for the past week, which she apparently vacated around 3 30 AM to move with her mother and former girlfriend. However amidst all the chaos, Lohan has not given up tweeting for her fans.

Lohan due to overcrowding will not be spending ninety days at jail. The count will though not be less than 23 days. After Lohan is released, she must immediately complete three months in rehab. Shapiro has dumped Lohan. Previously Shapiro, who lost his son to drug OD, had said that actress was suffering from a disease which was quite familiar to him. It is unclear who will represent Lohan who starts her jail sentence in a couple of days . Shapiro has not given any public explanation for his sudden change of heart.

The judges have now said that she needs to serve the term. Soon she was escorted to the  door by four sheriff's deputies and  placed in the backseat of an unmarked silver sheriff's car and driven to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., where she previously served 84 minutes in 2007.

.Lindsay Lohan has surrendered to authorities and has begun her 90 day jail sentence. Lohan showed no emotion as she was led away. Stunned when she was sentenced by a judge, this is the day Lindsay wanted to avoid. A short stint in rehab before this did not get her out of jail. There was no get out of jail free card this time for Lindsay Lohan. GEORGE VREELAND HILL
