HOLLYWOOD CELEBRITY Lindsay Lohan has been sent to 90 days in jail for violation of probation terms in a drugs case dated to 2007. A California judge, Marsha Revel delivered the sentence saying that the actress had failed to attend alcohol education classes, which was ordered by the court.
Lindsay Lohan has been asked to surrender on July 20, so that her prison term begins. Lohan has been on probation since august 2007 after she pleaded guilty to some charges of misdemeanour of drugs and also did not contest three driving charges.In addition to serving the prison term, Lohan will also have to attend and in-patient rehabilitation programme after serving the prison term. After hearing the verdict, Lohan was seen in tears and later told the media that she did everything she was told to do and she put in her best effort to perform the duties.
