Perfect Brand Ambassador for the cause of alcoholism, albeit nobody is going to pay Lindsay Lohan for that. Instead, Lohan has to wear a bracelet. Well, this bracelet is not a showpiece to flaunt but restrain her from drinking alcohol.

 

At a Los Angeles court hearing Monday, the actress was ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, called SCRAM device. Lindsay Lohan will be subject to weekly random drug testing and prohibited from any alcohol for the actress to remain free on bail.
 
A SCRAM device is a tool used to monitor a client’s blood alcohol level. Subject has to take samples of respiration every 30-minute to monitor and report blood alcohol level. Data from the device is transmitted to the SCRAM Company at least once a day.

 
Lohan, 23, looked nervous in the court, wearing a black business suit with her ponytail, and accompanied by her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. Holley Lohan’s attorney said her client “is prepared to demonstrate by action that she is going to comply with all court orders.”
 
The ugly looking bracelet is not going to look good on her at least during the shoot. When her attorney raised the point before the judge saying “ Lohan has an upcoming number of photo shoots and was due to begin filming in Texas for an upcoming movie role and asked that in lieu of the ankle bracelet. Lohan be subject to random alcohol testing as well since the device would interfere with filming. It would allow her to make a living." The judge flatly denied the request.

Judge warned Lohan that a missed drug test “is the same as a dirty test” and ordered her to continue attending alcohol education courses weekly. She wore one three years ago following her first DUI arrest.
 
The judge had ordered Lohan to attend the class “once a week without fail.” If found in violation, L.A DA is seeking up to six months in jail for the actress. A new hearing date was set for July 6 to determine if she violated the terms of probation.

Lohan was unable to attend the court because was busy attending the Cannes Film Festival. Where her passport reportedly was stolen. An arrest warrant issued on Thursday was dismissed after sge posted $100,000 bail.
