List of some high-profile cases of sexual harassment at work place
Almost everyday cases related to harassment, sexual assault and sexual abuse are reported and many cases even go unreported. In the recent past there have been many cases of sexual harassment at workplace, and the one which is in headlines now is TERI's RK Pachauri's case. There are many other similar cases of sexual harassment by people at higher level who take the advantage of their position and sexually harass their junior employees.

Here we are telling you about some high profile cases of sexual harassment, which shows how unsafe women are at the workplace:

RK Pachauri, TERI:

RK Pachauri, the Executive Vice Chairman of TERI has been accused of multiple sexual harassment cases. Just yesterday a former employee of the organization accused him of sexually harassing her. The former IPCC chairman was already facing a sexual harassment case lodged by a 29 years old employee before this latest case surfaced. Though a TERI committee initially recommended disciplinary action against Pachauri, but no such strict action was taken against him.

Tarun Tejpal, Tehelka:

Tehalka's founder was accused of sexually assaulting a women employee in Goa in 2013, during ThinkFest a high profile conference. He was proven guilty in the case and was sentenced for more than seven years of imprisonment. Tejpal, 50, was arrested on November 30 last year. Right now he is out on bail.

Retired Judge AK Ganguly:

Former SC judge AK Ganguly was accused of sexually harassing a former intern. Though he didn't accept the allegations against him, but because of intense political pressure, Ganguly had to eventually step down as the West Bengal Human Rights Commissioner.

Greenpeace:

A Greenpeace ex-staffer went public on her Facebook account with allegations of rape and sexual harassment by her colleague. She said that, she had to leave the job in 2013 after being raped and sexually harassed by her colleague. She even registered a written complaint with the HR manager, but did not get any kind of response. But after taking the matter to Facebook, she immediately got an apology from Greenpeace and they even promised her that they will re-investigate her case.

Assistant Director General of AIR:

A production assistant in Doordarshan had alleged that the Assistant Director General (ADG) of the channel was sexually harassing her. She said that he used to make sexual advances by calling her to his chamber at odd hours. However the ADG said that the charges were fabricated and it was a malicious attempt to malign his and his family's reputation.
