Little citizens take charge of Old Hyderabad City
Little citizens in Hyderabad surveyed various areas of the city and apprised the government officials about issues, people in those areas face. After giving a patient hearing, the government officials promised to solve the issues.

A GROUP of 20 students from various schools of old city participated in Summer Activism Programme organised by COVA. They learnt how to become responsible citizens and how to solve different social issues. During the programme, students surveyed Charminar and nearby areas and gave representations to government officials on various issues like traffic congestion, unauthorised vehicle parking, unhygienic road conditions, etc.

They met Mr. C.V. Anand - Addl. Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Mr. Akun Sabarwal, DCP South Zone, Mr. Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioner (GHMC) and APSRTC Officials. All the officers welcomed them heartily and listened to everyone and assured to solve these issues.

Little Citizens delegation included Master Abdul Basith, Abdullah (Rehman), Fazeel Usmani, Ishrath Fatima, Husama Unnisa, Mariya Fatima, Abdul Rauf, Rizwana Khan, Salman Ahmed, Syed Hasan Ali, Mohd. Saddam Hussain, Habeeb Ali Altaf, Syed Basith Hussaini, Syed Abdul Razzaq, and Mohd. Taherullah Khan.

COVA (Confederation of Voluntary Associations) is a national network of voluntary organizations dedicated to the issues of social harmony, peace and justice. The prime focus of COVA is on citizenship rights and perspective building for harmony and peace in South Asia. Through direct programmes and by networking with other CSOs, COVA organises perspective building activities and programs, carries out campaigns, and conducts research for influencing diverse sections of civil society and the state apparatus to adopt inclusive, secular and egalitarian outlook and policies that would foster rights and secure justice and peace for all.
