A five member delegation of local's villagers from Manora Raia in South Goa led by Anthony Fernandes, recently submitted a memorandum to the state chief minister Manohar Parrikar asking for an immediate action on the newly built road over the PWD pipelines in Raia village.
The locals who also submitted the memorandum in the
PWD office and to the office of Director General of Police stated
that the illegal structures built by the migrants close to the
connecting water pipeline to Sanguem dam service road was used by
migrants for its illegal residential purpose along with heavy
vehicles passing through the road.
This has caused fear and danger in to the minds of
hundred of locals of the Jaica water pipeline being burst due to the
frequent movement of migrants and heavy vehicles along the water
pipeline service road.
The memorandum has been signed by more than five
hundred locals. They have also informed about prostitution going on,
on a very high rate due to which the locals seem to be scared that
the village of Manora could become another type of Baina in the

complaining a number of times.
