In spite of a downtown that is trying to find life, the Radisson Lord Baltimore Hotel stands out. The inside of the hotel is designed in Art Deco form with its chandaliers and bronze lions. The rooms are great with television, bed, and a room service that is great when it is needed.
The breakfast in the Lord Baltimore Grill is superb with oatmeal, orange juice that is freshly squeezed, and coffee. The Grill also has fruits and cereals as another alternative form of breakfast. For those who cannot fill their stomachs with Oatmeal or Continental Breakfast, there is the American breakfast with sausages, has brown, bacon, and scrambled eggs cooked to order.
The lunch in the Lord Baltimore Grill has different themes for each days. One day is an Italian day while another day has a Caribbean theme. The Lord Baltimore Grill also has other themes such as southern style soul food, seafood (since Baltimore is famous for its seafood), and Southwest Grill.
The Coffee Bar serves starbucks coffee as well as other juices while the Bistro 20 West serves a Fillet Mignon with Mashed Potato and Broccoli which is well done or well cooked.
The coffee served in the Bistro 20 and the Lord Baltimore Hotel is served to near perfection with the customer receiving a fresh brew almost every time.
The people who work in the Bistro 20 Restaurant go out of their way to serve the customers even though the Lord Baltimore Grill and Coffee Bar are closed during the nighttime. The restaurant itself has a bar and another area where people can have a late supper while watching sporting events on the televisión.
For those who want to eat in the hotel room, there is room service which is also one of the greatest. The Radisson Lord Baltimore also has free Internet access, ATM Machine, Dry Clean/Laundry Service, and a safe deposit box.
The room are an example of cleanliness and organization with housekeeping reviewing each room and leaving them spotless.
The guests can also request copies of their receipts at no additional charge.
There is also parking in the Edison Parking Garage for $18.00 as well as Valet Parking for $31.00. There is a also a shuttle service arrangement from thehotel to the Baltimore Washington Airport which leaves every five minutes.
The hotel itself serves as an example of the Art Deco Architecture that was frequent in the United States of America within the 1920’s and 1930’s. It is also listed as a National Historic Monument. A person could imagine the people that might have passed through this hotel.
For people who are interested in reserving a hotel with access to the sites in Baltimore such as the ESPN Center, Camden Park, and the Marketplace, the Radisson Lord Baltimore is one of the jewels for the ever demanding conventioneer or tourist.
I personally give it a five out of five.
