Lose a battle to win a war
When a girl goes from her house to her marital home to join her husband and his family, it is quite a change. However, the bride must keep her cool to build a happy home and not destroy the house because of ignorance.

BHRASHTACHAR MITAO; kala dhan wapas lao - that was the goal for which the yoga guru Swami Ramdev had launched a global movement with Bharat or India in focus. Pray, tell me what was the end result?

Well, as per the assertion of Swami Ramdev the movement has not been called off. It is an ongoing process and is still going on in various mofussil townships, cities and metropolises. Why the confusion whether it is on or off arose is because of the UPVAS or hunger strike by the Yoga Guru and his thousands of shishyas was called off on medical advice and on the appeals made by a large number of ‘dharm gurus’ of international repute such as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Murari Bapu and so on. Thereafter, Swami Ramdev emphasised in various press conferences that he held to clear the cobweb - that the anti-corruption movement was alive and kicking.

THE PIT FALLS

Let us remember that Swami Ramdev is a sanyasi, and thus is quite a straight forward man. So is his second-in-command Acharya Vaidyaraj who hails from Nepal but was born in Haridwar, Bharat, and is an Indian citizen, much to the consternation of his detractors. They say what they mean and they mean what they say.

On the other hand, the politicians and ministers they had to deal with and hold dialogue with are politicians to the finger tips. Everyone knows what politicians all over the world are known for. A successful politician is one who promises Heaven to his constituency but ultimately is unable to deliver even a hell. A real good politician makes the press or his staff as a scapegoat saying that he was misunderstood and misquoted. Anna Hazare, the civil rights activist has a rich experience of dealing with politicians of all shades and hues and, therefore, had warned the patriotic plain-speaking Sanyasi to beware the moves and counter-moves of wheeling-dealing ministers of government of India.

The Swami had heard Anna Hazare loud and clear but did not have the battle-hardened expertise to break the tightening cordon of the Chakravyuh. Ramdev would have met the same fate as that of Abhimanyu but the sinister plan of the modern Kauravas misfired. Swami Ramdev was badly wounded but he survived.

The disciples and followers of the Yoga Guru received barbaric treatment at the hands of the Delhi police on orders of political masters of the UPA government. The Government of India had its badly battered reputation damaged further by mistreating women Satyagrahis and pulling them out of toilets semi-nude. Sleeping Satyagrahis were given lathi blows, and the human rights record of the Indian government was torn to pieces, and its head bowed in shame in the comity of nations. Indeed it was a disgraceful show of the Manmohan Singh government where Singh was NOT a king but a slavish errand boy of a Madam.

MOVEMENT BACK ON RAILS

The ‘bhrashtachar mitao, kala dhan wapas lao andolan’ is back on rails, so says Swami Ramdev. What a coincidence that the Communist Party of India (Marxists) have also announced that they too would be launching a movement against Corruption. Anna Hazare and civil rights activists are very much supporters of the movement against corruption. The common man is fed up of corruption in the government at all levels. Politicians are getting richer day by day and the poor poorer.
