Lucknow to host one-day workshop on 'Calming the Dysregulated Emotions'
A one-day workshop on "Calming the Dysregulated Emotions" is going to be organised on October 19 at Amity University, in Lucknow under the auspices of its Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences.

According to organisers of the event, in recent years, significant amounts of research have been conducted exploring the implications of emotional intelligence and emotional quotient (EQ) measurement.

It is being held that the emotional intelligence is capable of addressing the emotional, personal, social, and survival dimensions of intelligence.

"EQ is concerned with understanding oneself and others, relating to people, and adapting to and coping with the immediate surroundings. Decades of research has now confirmed what many people have suspected all along: it is EQ, not IQ that determines how well someone will perform on the job," stated the resource person Prof. Pallavi Bhatnagar at University of Lucknow.

Objectives of the workshop are to develop the positive emotions among people through self-awareness; provide platform for self-disclosure and discussion and help individuals in expression and management of dysregulated emotions.
