Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 start time 9 am
The 83rd Annual Macy's 2009 Parade will be an unparalleled crowd-pleasing spectacle that features 1,500 cheerleaders, dancers, singers and performers; 800 clowns; 15 giant character helium balloons; 35 novelty/ornament balloons and balloonheads.
Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 will kick off the holiday season with thousands of giant balloons, floats and bands marching to Macy’s Herald Square. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade start time is  9 am on Thursday and it will march to the steps of drums and include 8000 participants.

 

Macy’s 2009 Thanksgiving Day parade will comprise best marching bands of the US, performance groups, clowns, cheer leaders clowns, giant balloons, fanciful floats and the biggest star of them all, the one-and-only Santa Claus.
 
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade being truly an icon of American popular culture comprises a  5- mile route and is a fun filled  experience with giant helium balloon characters, celebrities, and more; the Macy’s Parade this year will mark yet another milestone moment.
 
The Macy’s 2009 Thanksgiving Day parade route will be the first to bypass Broadway in 82 years of history as it has done five time in the past, since its inception in the 1920s.

The 2009 Macy’s Parade will begin at 77th Street and Central Park West, travel down to Columbus Circle where it will turn onto Central Park South. Once the Parade reaches 7th Avenue it will turn once more and march down 7th Avenue through Times Square to 42nd Street. At the famed intersection it will turn east to 6th Avenue and begin its final march down the Avenue of the Americas to 34th Street where it will turn towards Macy’s famed flagship and end at 7th Avenue marking a 2.65-mile march.
 
The 83rd Annual Macy’s 2009 Parade will be an unparalleled crowd-pleasing spectacle that features 1,500 cheerleaders, dancers, singers and performers; 800 clowns; 15 giant character helium balloons; 35 novelty/ornament balloons, balloonheads and balloonicles; 10 marching bands; 24 floats; and a host of celebrity performers.
 
Star power on Thanksgiving morning will include performances from some of the hottest Broadway shows including Billy Elliot, Bye Bye Birdie, Hair, and Shrek. In addition, the world-famous Radio City Rockettes will return to kick in the start of the holiday season.

.LOVED IT!! You somehow seem to outdo yourselves every year! I do believe!! I do believe! and I am very thankful that Macy's still puts this parade on every Thanksgiving Day! This was my 58th T-day...and many were started with the Macy's Day Parade.
.We turned on to get the parade but all we saw were people. Someone's parents were on and then it was dancing and singing and the celebritys from from shows we do not watch. So where was the parade? Sorry but we turned it off.
