Madam Sonia Gandhi, your solidarity march was against whom and why?
In an interesting development, today Congress's top leadership held a solidarity march to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence. Perhaps it's a unique scene that was never before witnessed in the history of Indian Politics.
What's a solidarity march? If someone is removed from a post using wrong method or some individual or group is harassed or forcibly taken out of their property, name and fame etc, then a solidarity march has got some validity. If some people are displaced forcibly from their land, someone was assaulted brutally and struggling to survive in a hospital, to extend support to a victim or group of victims people take out solidarity march.

Here what's the case? It's a judicial summon and judicial decision that former PM should appear before the court as an accused. This is a natural judicial procedure. Then why this solidarity march led by Congress President Sonia Gandhi? Isn't the Congress' march against the judiciary and the judicial system of this country?

Is Congress demonstrating against the judicial system because it dared to point finger at one of their big leaders? There is also news that Congress workers stopped trains across UP against the court order. What's the message going out?

There is nothing wrong in extending moral support to someone you believe innocent. For this, a resolution in CWC or a press statement is sufficient. But why this solidarity march?

In fact with such solidarity march, a different message is going out. Everyone clearly knows that Manmohan Singh can not indulge himself in any form of materialistic bribery. At the same time it's also known that Manmohan Singh was never independent and had to sign on dotted line as per instructions and decisions from 10, Janpath. If there is any irregularity as doubted by court, Manmohan Singh would have done that as per the instructions from the first family as he can't do such things on his own.

Now the Congress president's solidarity march created lot of speculation in the social media. Many apprehended that Manmohan Singh may come under judicial pressure. With such pressure if he starts spilling beans, then there would be a permanent damage on the family's reputation. Already many persons had exposed through their books that in fact Manmohan Singh was just the mask and it was the Congress president usually who was taking decisions. Congress leadership might have got encouraged to organise this sudden solidarity march to impress Manmohan Singh so that he keeps his mouth shut.

The above may also be a mere speculation, but the Congress's action definitely lacks maturity. Under pressure many commit mistakes. On the other hand to hide one's mistake people commit more mistakes. In either cases the damage is sure to happen to the party and the concerned individuals.

I don't know how this case will proceed from here. But I am sure, bad days are coming for the Congress president and Congress party.
