The present Chief Minister also took up the cause of Singur, and said that she has already thought about which piece of land to give to whom. She also urged the different parties to come together in order to make Bengal the number one state in India.

The rally took place in at Brigade Parade Ground on Thursday, and it was successful as the Opposition party also said that they would extend their help. To quote CPM, “We have already said we will extend all co-operations to the government. We have not yet received any invitation. We will decide after we get it.

Now, ending the long 34 years of left rule, Mamata Banerjee wants to do everything that would be right for the people. Making her intentions very clear she said, “During the 34-year rule of the Left Front, they indulged in politics of ‘us’ and ‘them’. But we won’t ever do that. We will take everybody along with us to create a new Bengal.”

The rally was attended by a lakh people inspite of rainy weather. The Chief Minister, apart from saying that she is doing her best, also asked the people not to indulge in financial irregularities, and to be disciplined.
