WEST BENGAL Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday flagged off four new trains, much to the respite of the people in the state. Banerjee, former Railway Minister kept her promise as a part of the fulfilment of the Budget announcements by flagging off four new express trains in South Eastern Railway.

 The trains are Digha-Puri Weekly Express, Digha Malda Town Weekly Express, Digha-Visakhapatnam weekly Express and Kharagpur-Villupuram weekly express. A new halt station namely Birsa Munda was also inaugurated by the chief minister.

All these four trains will run weekly and will have 2AC, 3 AC, Sleeper Class and General 2nd class coaches. The Digha-Puri weekly express will leave Digha on every Thursday. The Digha-Malda Town weekly express will leave Digha on every Sunday. The Digha-Visakhapatnam weekly express will leave Digha on every Friday and Kharagpur-Villupuram weekly express will leave Kharagpur on every Wednesday. 

Mamata is a very strong administrator, honest and hard-working leader of West Bengal. Why can’t rest of the leadership follow her footsteps so that we can compete with China, Russia, the US and UK in the development sector. Nothing is impossible. As goes a famous saying, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’. We have to only work and plan accordingly with sincere efforts.

 She is the only political leader in the UPA government who puts her foot down on any issue that she believes doesn’t augur well for the country, without caring about the vote-bank politics. Issues like FDI in retail and National Counter Terrorism Centre are among the few issues that she opposed and FDI plan was shelved only because of her opposition.
