Its the time for famous Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty to get the politician's tag, as Bengal's Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has announced the nomination of Bollywood actor as Trinamool Congress's candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election in the state.

Mithun was also invited for the inauguration of Kolkata International Film Festival in its last two editions. Now when the five Rajya Sabha seats will be falling vacant in West Bengal in April for which election will be held on February 7, Mamta nominated the name of Mithun Chakraborty in the list.

Banerjee while updating on her official Facebook page, "In our state, five Rajya Sabha members will be elected this time.
