Man of Steel has grim action while Fukrey is fun and original
It was a kind surprise beginning for Fukrey and Man of Steel. Expected to be high on action, drama and emotion, Man of Steel dissapointed many while Fukrey had its audience spellbound. Talking about the Hindi film first, Fukrey is relatable to people in the north as they might see themselves in these characters or might know such characters in real life. Very punjabi in tone, Fukrey is hilarious with one liners.

Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who is the director who in Fukrey tells the story of four friends with distinct personalities. While Pulkit Shamrat plays the lover boy, Manjot Singh is the funny guy, Ali Faizal is the hapless dude and Pankaj Tripathi is the innocent one, and all of them dream about college for varied reasons.

Twitter is yet to pick up the Fukrey fever but reviews about the film are good and some are recommending it as a must watch this weekend. Taran Adarsh, a critic, however, saw the movie and tweeted, “Thoroughly enjoyed #Fukrey. The best part is its novel theme, subtle humour and super performances by every member of its cast. Thumbs Up!”

Man of Steel on the other hand had high expectations riding on it especially since it is a Christopher Nolan film, who has given us so many memorable characters but by the looks of the reviews it seem to have let down its audience.

Unlike Fukrey's amateur cast, Man of Steel has veterans such as Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane. Inspite of that, many critics described the film as superficial and noisy. It is the age old story of Superman, who was sent from Kyton to Earth and became a superhero. The old story has many new twists and turns and a villian named General Zod. Not giving away much from the plot, it was interesting to see how Twitterartis were reacting to the film.

One tweeted, “Gut reaction: Man of Steel is incomprehensible, poorly motivated, and revels in its awful script. Sometimes has heart.” Another person, who loved the movie seemed to have been totoured by some other reason. He wrote, “Man of Steel was great though (aside from the annoying people sitting behind us)! Definitely go see it if you have some free time :). While the general tone of the reviews were disappointment, one tweeple bought an interesting aspect to light. She wrote, “ManOfSteel is such a perfect movie for Fathers Day. The movie tackles how a father plays a big role in shaping up his son's life.

So one can always take their fathers to the theater this Father's day and get some old Superman action or just be a Fukra and watch Fukrey.
