Man Sharma's parole: A question for society
Sharma's mother, in fact, has been seen by many, carrying out a very active role in public life during the parole period. Some even say that it was Sharma's father's nearness to Delhi political circles that led to the parole.

THE INDIAN media should be complimented for its watchdog role by exposing misuse of parole by Manu Sharma, held guilty for murder by the courts.

It is indeed shameful that the Delhi Chief minister Shiela Dixit, has given her full support and approved Sharma's parole, who was convicted by the courts for his role in the murder of Jessica Lal. The parole which has been granted in regard of his mother's illness should be based on the proof of the said illness.

Sharma's mother, in fact, who is in her early fifties, has been seen by many, carrying out a very active role in public life during the parole period. Some have even speculated that it was Sharma's father's nearness to Delhi political circles that led to the parole.

Acts of spoilt sons of rich and influential can and should be effectively checked by immediate cancellation of this parole. He should also be penalised for giving frivolous reasons for the parole in question.

Emotions and values of human life amongst the elite like Manu Sharma, has shamed the society. It has in fact, raised a question against all of us. How can a society allow a convict to so easily skip his jail sentence, as per his whims and fancies, as well as, enjoy the luxuries of a glamorous life.
