Manju's story no less than a Bollywood flick with anti-climax
One wrong person and it can ruin someone's life. The same happened with Manju when she met Binu Pramod, who she thought loved her. But that was not to be, as he eloped with her kidney and disappeared in thin air.

MANJU'S LIFE story seems like a plot of a Bollywood flick but the only difference is that all the tears she shed and the emotions she felt on being betrayed were raw and real. Manju met the man of her dreams at her workplace in 2005. Binu Pramod was a sales executive with a tea company at her workplace and slowly their friendship grew into love.

As they say in cheesy romance novels, time grew wings and when the emotions changed Manju could not figure out but she was in love and so deeply and passionately that she took the ultimate step- deceive her family and elope with him for her happily ever after. But as we all know there are no such things as fairytales, the real Pramod started to come out of his shell. When they faced a tough time in their life in 2009, he insisted that Manju sell off one of her kidney so that they can get enough money to sustain.

By this time Manju was the mother of one and refused the suggestions outright. However, when Pramod threatened to kill their son, she consented and underwent the operations only to realize that her beloved has taken the 10 lakh rupees and run away. Her operation took place at KMS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram in 2009 and she gave away her left kidney. She was in ICU for three days and her recovery after that was painful.

According to The Times of India, she filed a complaint in 2011. Now she lives with her mother and son in a rented house near HMT Colony in Kalamassery and last week police arrested three people who helped Pramod sell Manju's kidney. Pramod is still absconding and Manju is still living under the dark cloud of sadness. If like every Bollywood flick she could get her happy ending, then it would be the perfect story: but it's only life.
