Police officials revealed that a total of seven explosion were carried between Patangi and Bimlagarh, by the Maoists, who also gave a strike call. These attacks were meant to protest against the arrest of about 30 people, who are believed to be Left wing sympathisers and overground workers, officials added.
Traffic on a national highway that passes through the Sundargarh district has been disrupted as tribals in the district have blocked the road since last two days to protest against the arrest of villagers.
The train services in the area have also been disrupted as the tribals are demanding the release of their community members.
