A bullet-riddled body of one of the abducted policeman was found yesterday, which further complicated the matters for the government. Maoists claim that the other three abducted policemen are safe and the 'time was running out' for the government to resolve the issue.The voice said that he will provide the audio CD containing the voice of all the three policeman on Sunday from Lakhisarai district. Avinash went on to say that state government should stop the combing operations and come to talks for the release of the three.
"We want the state government should halt the operations and hurry to hold talks for securing the safe release of the three hostages," he said, as per the media reports.
Two Naxalites, as claimed by the police, including Pinki Yadav, were arrested in Jamui town as he was making a telephonic conversation from a booth.At the same time Director General of Police (DGP) Neelmani trashed the reports of arrest of the mastermind of the Sunday encounter between police and Naxalites, which killed seven policemen, saying he had no such information.
It is also believed that Centre has dispatched more than 200 additional security personnel along with two choppers to Lakhisarai.
The Maoists had kidnapped Rupesh Kumar and Abhay Yadav, Bihar Military Police havildar Ehtesham Khan and assistant sub-inspector Lucas Tete.
