Five tribals were killed and four others were abducted in Munger district of Bihar in the wee hours of Saturday. Police officials have stated that the search and rescue operations have started under Superintendent of Police P. Kanan.
FIVE TRIBALS were shot dead and four others were abducted by Maoists in Munger district of Bihar. The incident is reported to have taken place during the wee hours of Saturday when about fifty armed rebels stormed Bangalwa Kareli village located 200 kilometres from Patna.

Police officials have stated that an officer has been deployed at the site of the incident and search operations have also been initiated under Superintendent of Police P. Kanan. The local media also quoted the officer saying that five people were killed on the spot while one sustained serious injuries and died later in a hospital.Deputy General of Police Neelmani stated that the rebels dressed as CRPF personnel came to the village in two jeeps and targeted the tribals hailing from the Korha group. However, one tribal, who was injured in the attack, has been admitted in a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, another incident reported from Orissa stated that a commander belonging to the local Communist Party of India-Maoist was killed in an encounter in Keonjhar district of Orissa. The victim, identified as Sunil, hailed from the Kalinga Nagar branch.
