Marginalised people use the services of Railways
Indian Railways may or may not be aware that indirectly, they are contributing significantly towards CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Let's see how this happens.

MOST OF the railway platforms in many parts of the country are used by homeless and destitute people. They also use other facilities of railways like rest houses/ toilets/ drinking water facilities and so on.

Seldom does a ticket inspector visit the general compartments. Many passengers could be found travelling without tickets and also some passengers could be found travelling in super fast trains with general tickets.

Perhaps, an indepenent study by the Ministry of Railways could get many more details on how their services are utilised by these marginalised people and there is clearly a way to stop all this by properly rehabilitating this class.

One option could be that the Railways requests the help of many other corporate bodies to sort this issue out with a human face - services of experts need to be solicited to find out as to how best they can be rehabilitated.
