The pose that was photographed by Bernand captures the free spirited girl that Marilyn was. The sheer pleasure, gush of life and sexuality in a subtle way lives on even when she is no more for 50 years.
In Bollywood we have our very own Mallika Sherawat who recreated the iconic pose in the movie Kis Kis Ki Kismet. Although it was most of a hit and run case yet she must be credited to take on the challenge. The studios also tried to create a number of Marilyn Munroes and came up with Barbara Lang, Barbara Nichols, Joi Lansing, Diana Dors and Mamie Van Doren but no one could replicate the scene to a tee. However a number of attempts have been made. The pose was so iconic that even her dress went under the hammer for charity.
