Martyrs are property of nation and community and are source of inspiration for all of us, said Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur while releasing the calendar of Shaheed-e-Watn Youth Organization, Ferozepur on account of birth celebrations of Shaheed Udham Singh at Shaheed Udham Singh Bhawan on December, 26.
On this occasion, Gurbhej Singh Tibbi, Jaspal Handa, Dr.Baldev Kamboj, Boota Singh Bhullar, Angrej Singh Kotia, Joga Singh Sarpanch, Gurdev Singh Sarpanch, Gaurav, Gurcharan Singhj, Sukhbir Singh Bath, Amrinder Singh Tikka and in good number of office bearers were present.
Gurbhej Singh Tibbi said, “Shaheed Udham Singh (26 December 1899 - 31 July 1940) was an Indian revolutionary, best known for assassinating Michael O’Dyer in March, 1940 in what has been described as an avenging of the Jallianwallan Bagh Massacre”.
He further said, “In this programme, the prominent folk singers Gurmit Bawa, Sandhu Surjit, Happy Arman, Anantpal Billa, Lovely Sandhu, Sukhwant Dhanju, Sukhi Sukhjinder and artists will entertain the audience. Popular humorous duo Harinder Bhullar and Gurnam Sidhu would perform the master of ceremony.
